Join us for a hands-on Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop at the Rochester Folk Art Guild, in collaboration with Cornell Cooperative Extension.
Proper pruning is essential for healthy trees and good fruit production. This workshop will cover when and how to prune, how to shape trees for long-term health, and how to assess overall tree condition during the dormant season. We will focus on our apple trees but can also offer advice on plums, peaches, cherries, and other fruit trees.

Hands-on instruction in fruit tree pruning
Learn how to shape and maintain trees for healthy growth and fruiting
Winter pest scouting and basic tree health assessment
What to bring:
Bring your own pruning shears if you have them, or use shared tools provided
The workshop will take place outdoors. Dress for the weather.
This workshop is for anyone interested in orchard care, home fruit production, or learning practical orchard management skills.
